7° Animare Film Festival
2-9 July 2017 in Cesenatico
7° ANIMARE International Animated Short Film Festival will take place from 2nd to 9th July 2017. The festival focuses on animated shorts dedicated to children, who will be not only a great audience, but will also play an active role in the competition. As a matter of fact, the winner will be chosen by a baby-jury made of about 100 children between 3 and 13 years of age.
The 16 finalists come from 4 countries: France (13) – Spain (1) – South Korea (1) and Germany (1). The selection of ANIMARE is prepared by Sedicicorto. 538 shorts coming from 68 countries have been submitted: each of them a compelling tale narrated with different techniques like 2D, 3D, Stop Motion, paper drawing, etc. All of them highly professional works.
Now the verdict depends on the baby-jury: with the original “top vote” system, children will be the official members of the jury. After the screenings, there will be the interviews, and our children will surprise everyone with their comments and reviews of the films.
The Festival will start with the “preview” programme on Sunday 2nd, Monday 3rd, Tuesday 4th, and Wednesday 5th July and will continue with the competition on Thursday 6th and Saturday 8th July, when we will screen the 16 selected films. On Sunday 9th July, the final day of the competition, only the 8 finalists will be screened.
The selected films represent without a doubt the best of the international production dedicated to children. The previous years, the Festival has been characterized by the presence of films that have been subsequently selected for the Oscar or that have become 3D features of great success.
The average duration of each film is 5 minutes. The winner will be awarded with a money prize of 500€.
